Accounting System
Have you ever wanted just an easy, simple accounting system that was easy to learn and use? Typically, modern accounting systems are quite good and do everything imaginable but they take forever to learn and as a result they become more of a hindrance than a help to many small businesses. Our system is basic and yet will furnish an Income Statement or Balance Sheet at the click of a button. This system is great for the one man show or other small businesses. It works great for service companies or product companies with inventories, payables & receivables.
I wrote this system because all the accounting software on the market was just to comprehensive and too complicated to run. For a small business it was like pulling a 10 foot john boat with a semi tractor trailer. Most small businesses simply don't have the need for a real high powered accounting system and further, they don't have the time to learn how to use this sophisticated accounting package. The answer? a simple, non-complex, easy to learn and easy to use accounting system that will furnish income statements and balance sheets quickly and easily.... That is exactly what our accounting system does.... no frills..... just the basics.... and it is set up the same as the Schedule C most small business people use when they file their income taxes. The system is written in MS Excel for easy use by just about everyone. Spend your time making money and not doing accounting!
I run a small one-man financial business and
here is how I use this system. To set the system up, I entered the
business name once and entered the starting balances for my equipment, cash,
inventory etc. Each month I put all my receipts into an envelope and at the end
of the month, I total up my gasoline, phone bills, supplies bought, postage paid
and cash received etc. Then I enter these totals onto my accounting
spreadsheet and my books are up to date for the previous month.
Anyone with just the basic knowledge of Excel and accounting will be up and
running in a couple minutes. I wanted a simple system because while I
wanted an accurate accounting system, I didn't want to spend hours upon hours
learning a new accounting system and more hours entering data into it...... I
just wanted an easy system that would quickly and easily capture all the info I
needed for my business management and for taxes. I spend very little time
on this accounting system and this allows me to spend more time on my business
and making money. If you need accurate accounting but need to minimize the
time spent doing the accounting function, this system is for you.
So each month I enter how much gross revenue I received and the totals for phone, advertising, supplies, gasoline, etc. and my monthly accounting is done. This takes me about 10 minutes a month.
